SOME GOSPEL VERSES – PART 1 (Isaiah Through Romans 4)

Is. 1:18 “Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool...”

Is. 43:25  I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

Is. 44:22  I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.

Is. 45:22  Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

Is. 51:22 This is what your Sovereign LORD says, your God, who defends his people: “See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger; from that cup, the goblet of My wrath, you will never drink again.”

Is. 55:6-7  Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.  Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.

Is. 53   Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?  He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.  He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.  Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted.  But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. ....   Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer, and though the LORD makes His life a guilt offering, He will see His offspring and prolong His days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in His hand.  After the suffering of his soul, He will see the light [of life] and be satisfied; by His knowledge My righteous servant will justify many, and He will bear their iniquities.  Therefore I will give Him a portion among the great, and He will divide the spoils with the strong, because He poured out His life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Hos. 13:14  I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction?...

Joel 2:32  And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls.

Matt. 1:21 “She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.”

Mark 10:23-27  Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!  It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, “Who then can be saved?”

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

Mark 10:45  For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

Mark 16:16  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Luke 7:50   Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Luke 19:10  For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.

Luke 2:10-11  But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 23:40-43 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence?  We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”  Then he said, “JESUS, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

JESUS answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise.”

John 1:12-13 Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God —  children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

John 3:16-17   For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

John 6:35-40   Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry, and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty.  But as I told you, you have seen Me and still you do not believe.  All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will never drive away.  For I have come down from heaven not to do My will but to do the will of Him who sent Me.  And this is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given me, but raise them up at the last day.  For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 10:9  I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.

John 14:6   Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Acts 2:21  And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Acts 3:19  Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Acts 4:12  Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

Acts 13:38  Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through JESUS the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.  Through Him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.

Acts 16:30-31  He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”    They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved — you and your household.”

Acts 17:30  In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

Acts 20:21  I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.

Rom 2:4  Or do you show contempt for the riches of His kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?

Rom 2: 5-11  But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when His righteous judgment will be revealed. God "will give to each person according to what he has done." To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.

Rom 3:21-26  But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in His blood. He did this to demonstrate His justice, because in His forbearance He had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— He did it to demonstrate His justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

Rom. 4:4-8  Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
"Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him."
